Division Guidelines
Game Format
- Games will be 3 innings
- Baseballs should be Level 1 Flexiball (LC-1)
- In each half inning, the batting team will bat once through the entire order. The batting order can change each inning
- Each at bat will result in the batter reaching first base, and every base runner advancing one base
- The last hitter each inning will hit a “home run”
- Coaches can pitch underhand to give batters the chance to hit a pitched ball. After 4-5 swings and misses, the tee should be used to help move the game along
- When batting, one coach should be on the bench to remind the players who is batting and who is on deck, as well as ensure the safety of the players
- Players on the bench while their team is hitting should wear helmets, just in case a foul ball is hit in their direction
- Only the batter and on deck player should be holding a bat
- When fielding, coaches should spread players out in the field and change their positions every inning.
- No player should play catcher
- A coach should “play” catcher, mainly to help collect baseballs and help instruct hitters where to stand and how to swing.
- Coaches are allowed in the field to help instruct the fielding team during the game.
