Spring 2024 Registration is Open!

Everyday it’s staying lighter out later, and you know what that means? Baseball and softball season is right around the corner. To celebrate, WYBSA is happy to announce that registration is OPEN!

WYBSA prides itself as a progressive recreational baseball and softball league geared toward coaching children starting as young as Pre-K. Players gain knowledge of the game, improve skills, stay active, learn to be fair and competitive, and have fun!

WYBSA is looking forward to a great 2024 season! We hope you and your kids are too!

2024 WYBSA Information

Baseball

  • Pre-K T-Ball: (player must be eligible to enter Kindergarten in the fall of 2024 – birthday no later than August 31, 2019)
  • K T-Ball: (players currently in Kindergarten)
  • Farm League: Wildcat Division (players in first grade)
  • Farm League: Warrior Division (players in second grade)
  • Minor League: (players in third and fourth grade)
  • Major League: (players in fifth and sixth grade)

Softball

  • Instructional League: (players in K and first grades)
  • Minor League: (players in second, third and fourth grades)
  • Major League: (players in fifth and sixth grades)
  • Senior League: (players in seventh and eighth grades)

Costs

  • Pre-K T-Ball, Kindergarten T-Ball & Instructional League Softball: $175
  • Farm, Minors & Majors Baseball and Minors & Majors Softball: $225
  • Seniors Softball: $225 (it should be noted that this year Wrentham players will be playing as part of Norfolk/Plainville due to low numbers in that age group)

Payment Plan

  • Starting this season, WYBSA is offering a payment plan option where registration costs can be split into two payments.

Discounts

  • If you are registering three or more players, you will receive a $50 discount.

Volunteers

  • If you can not volunteer for two 90-minute WYBSA Snack Shack shifts during the season then an additional $50 per player will be added to your cost of registration. WYBSA relies heavily on revenue from the Snack Shack for field improvements, field maintenance, equipment, and lighting of the fields.
  • For Senior Softball players’ families, you will be volunteering for the Plainville Snack Shack.

Dates

  • Registration will be open through Sunday, March 17. We need registrations completed to select coaches, coordinate evaluations, make teams, order uniforms, etc.
  • All registrations completed after Sunday, March 17 will be assessed a $25 late fee.

Summer Ball

If your player wishes to be eligible to participate in summer ball then they must participate in the spring season.

If You Wish To Volunteer To Be A Spring Coach:

  • Please make your selection on the signup form for your player. If you are selected as a coach, league commissioners will be in touch after Sunday, March 17.

Financial Assistance

  • If your family has undergone a financial hardship, please email the WYBSA at wybsainformation@gmail.com for a scholarship request form. Scholarships are confidentially considered on a case-by-case basis. Once approved, we will provide you with instructions on how to complete your registration.

Junior Umpires

If you are in seventh grade and older and wish to be a Junior Umpire, please email wybsainformation@gmail.com.

Babe Ruth

  • Babe Ruth baseball (Grades 7-12) is organized through a combined KP program.
  • Teams are constructed of players from Wrentham, Norfolk and Plainville.
  • A separate email will be going out when registration is open.
